Easy Guitar
Chords
Basic Major Chords
(M)

Major chords are the base from which most
guitar songs are built.
If you notice the A Chord has two 2's and a
three. This is the way I play the chord. I have
not seen anyone else play it this way. Try it. I find it much
easier to change to and from this chord if I play it this way.
Fitting three fingers across one fret side by side is very
cramped. You can use any fingering you like, just make sure its
easiest for you. You don't want to learn a chord and later find
that you have to change the way you play it because you can't
change out of it quickly. The G chord is the same. Some people
play it using fingers 1, 2 and three. It is very hard to change
from c to g if you use that method.
Easy Minor Chords
(m)

Minor Chords make a mournful sounding song.
The kind of song 'The Verve' would play.
Try this combination of chords. I've left out the Gsus Chord
because it's a hard chord. It has been substituted with plain
old G. The timing is up to you. Just start to sing it and
you'll understand where to change chords. Or, you can count
them out.
C C C C Am Am Am Am
Em Em F F G G C C
Can you feel the sorrow in these
minor chords?
Easy 7th
Chords
7th chords are are used to create suspense.
Try going from G7 to C. It's a very easy chord change even for
a beginner. You can hear that the G7 chord is missing
something. It makes you want to get to the C chord as soon
as you can to complete the sound.
